Do you want to be a School Resource Management Adviser?

As you will be aware, the DfE issued an invitation to tender for the procurement of suppliers of School Resource Management Advisers (SRMAs) during the summer, and ISBL has submitted a bid under this tender and if successful will be looking to recruit SRMAs.

We wanted to make our members aware of this activity and the potential opportunity for our members to register to work with us on this project.

To be considered for induction and accreditation as an SRMA, you must meet the following criteria:

Essential skills for Accredited Persons

  • Must be accredited as an Accredited Person following successful completion of either the Department’s pilot accreditation scheme or the new DfE-approved accreditation scheme.

  • Must have at least two years’ experience of:

    • School business management, or

    • Financial management;

  • Must have a good understanding of how the school system works.

Desirable skills for Accredited Persons

  • A minimum of two years’ experience as an accountant or similar role;

  • Specialist experience in the school sector including but not limited to Special Schools or Alternative Provision, Estates Management, HR and Procurement.

If you would like to become an SRMA and require more information, then we would encourage you to register your interest with us today at training@isbl.org.uk
