HES announced as finalist for Education Resources Awards 2019

Havering Education Services (HES) has been shortlisted for the Education Resources Awards (ERA) 2019 in two categories: Supplier of the Year (Not for Profit) and Marketing Campaign of the Year for the Veggie Run app.

ERA is an established accolade of excellence within the education industry to recognise exceptional teaching staff, educational establishments and education suppliers.

HES’ shortlisting for Supplier of the Year (Not for Profit) is testament to the transformation and innovation the service has undergone in particular the growth and development of its Brokerage Service. The Brokerage Service supports schools and settings to procure a range of goods and services achieving value for money and minimised procurement risks.

Created by HES’ Catering Services, Veggie Run, which is shortlisted for Marketing Campaign of the Year, is an innovative healthy eating app aimed at children and young people. Since its launch in April 2018, the app has been downloaded over 22,000 times on the App Store and Google Play.

Trevor Cook, Assistant Director, HES, expressed, “Being shortlisted and recognised can only be attributed to HES’ strong partnership working approach, and the hard work and dedication of all our staff in providing high standard service to schools and settings.”
