Trio of high-speed RISO printers helping primary school reduce costs

Three new high-speed cutsheet inkjet printers from RISO UK are helping a large primary school in Middlesbrough to dramatically reduce print costs.

Linthorpe Community Primary School, part of the Legacy Learning Trust, has 700 pupils, and is rated Good by Ofsted.

Linthorpe has been using RISOs for a number of years. It used to use a RISO ComColor 7050 and small desktop printers, but it has upgraded to three new RISOs - two ComColor 3110s and a ComColor 7150. And, it has removed all desktop printers.

Staff can also use PaperCut™ print management software that allows the efficient control and management of print and print budgets.

From booklets to exam papers, to displays and newsletters, the RISOs can look after all of the school’s printing needs.

Director of Finance James Black comments: “Desktop printers can be expensive when it comes to cost per copy, so we had to do something. With RISO, the costs per page are reduced dramatically, which means we could print more in colour - ideal for teachers and pupils.

“Also, the RISOs are fast, meaning we don’t have staff stood around waiting for printers to do their work. We recommend RISO printers.”
