ABBLed aims to promote diversity within the profession of school business leadership. Our focus is to develop a network of professionals, of all ethnicities, to support Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic School Business Leaders and encourage new entrants into the professions.
As a network, we seek to raise the visibility of BAME SBLs and provide opportunities to develop leadership skills and broaden their network.
To create a network of existing and aspiring School Business Professionals who work together to raise the profile of BAME SBPs
To provide a voice for BAME School Business Professionals
To work to achieve equality of access to CPD and the profession in general
To increase the representation of BAME business leaders on school SLTs nationally to reflect the communities they serve.
We are in the development stages and so have not launched our website yet but anyone who is interested can contact us via Twitter (@ABBLed_network) or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Currently there are four of us who have been working on the network since its inception. The committee consists of Cheryl, Kemi, Leticia, and Nathaniel.
We have a couple of experienced SBLs who have offered to join our advisory group to look at the next steps. If others are interested or they just want to hear more then make contact or follow us on Twitter.
