Worcestershire Association of School Business Management (WASBM)

The Worcestershire Association of School Business Management (WASBM) was established in 2008 after a number of Business Managers had felt the need for a forum to discuss mutual interests, promote best practice and assist in professional development. We have links with other professional groups and bodies e.g. The Central England Forum (a number of groups across central England), and the National Association of School Business Management (NASBM), Worcestershire Association of Secondary Headteachers (WASH).

Our aims are to establish a forum to enable Worcestershire School Business Managers to discuss issues of mutual interest and concern, to provide a vehicle for the promotion of best practice amongst School Business Managers in order to improve school management and the outcomes for students and to facilitate the support and professional development of School Business Managers in Worcestershire.

Membership of the association is open to school based post holders that have strategic responsibility for School Business Management, all new members are welcomed and supported by their fellow colleagues.

We are a thriving group with well in excess of 100 members; we meet for a whole day in both the Summer and Autumn terms and hold a conference in the Spring term.

Additionally we have a fantastic website with many useful areas including a forum whish allows members to ask for support and advice on any aspects of school business management.

The group is currently chaired by Russell Dalton of Pershore High School.
