Havering Education Brokerage Frameworks

Established in 2013, with our local schools, the Brokerage Service consists of 16 multi-supplier service frameworks, schools can use in confidence. We use our joint influence and the aggregated buying power of schools to obtain cost-efficient deals.

What is unique about our frameworks is the active participation of School Business Managers and Finance Leads in the end to end process of brokerage from the production of service specifications through to the appointment of suppliers thereby ensuring that the services brokered and suppliers selected are suitable for schools and settings to use.  In addition, any number of new services can be tendered and added to the framework depending on the needs of schools and settings.

As a summary, the brokerage process involves:

  • Identification of a demand for particular goods and services

  • Development of service specifications and framework agreements

  • Public/OJEU tender

  • Vetting of shortlisted suppliers, including taking references

  • Supplier interviews and presentations

  • Ongoing supplier performance monitoring throughout the contract period

So why not start saving your school money through our collaborative frameworks by getting in touch with Henny Acheampong, Michelle Tarten or Shola Omogbehin  at support.educationservices@havering.gov.uk or call 01708 431561
