New for spring 2018 - BA(Hons) School Business Leadership degree apprenticeship

ISBL is delighted to announce that the BA(Hons) School Business Leadership degree apprenticeship has now been approved. This specially designed programme, delivered by the University of Chester, has been constructed to meet the needs of those in school business leadership roles within a variety of education settings.

Enquiries and applications for the apprenticeship are welcomed now as the first cohort group is set to start after Easter 2018. Levy paying organisations can access the course, using the levy to fund the programme.

The study programme can lead to the award of Chartered Manager status. However, the content offers much more than a generic management degree as it maps directly to ISBL professional standards and meets the development needs of individuals working in leadership roles in schools or academies. More information on the ISBL Professional Standards can be found here

Level 6 qualifications such as this are typically accepted as meeting the requirements of Fellowship of the Institute. Click here for more information on ISBL Fellowship

Students holding qualifications such as CSBM and DSBM can apply to have their prior learning assessed before starting apprenticeship. Applicants wishing to discuss their existing academic portfolios will be able to talk to representatives from the University around Easter 2018.

The apprenticeship will be delivered over a three year period. Taught sessions will be delivered from September to June. Typically, the programme will consist of one classroom session every half term supported by online resources and tutor visits. More information on the programme can be found here.
