Worcestershire Association of School Business Management (WASBM)

~~Welcome…

The Worcestershire Association of School Business Management (WASBM) was established in 2008 after a number of Business Managers had felt the need for a forum to discuss mutual interests, promote best practice and assist in professional development. We have links with other professional groups and bodies e.g. The Central England Forum (a number of groups across central England), and the Institute of School Business Leaders (ISBL), Worcestershire Association of Secondary Headteachers (WASH).

Our aims are to establish a forum to enable School Business Leaders to discuss issues of mutual interest and concern, to provide a vehicle for the promotion of best practice amongst School Business Leaders in order to improve school management and the outcomes for young people and to facilitate the support and professional development of School Business Leaders locally.

Membership of the association is open to school based post holders that have strategic responsibility for School Business Management, all new members are welcomed and supported by their fellow colleagues.

We are a thriving group with well in excess of 200 members; we meet for a whole day in both the Summer and Autumn terms and hold a conference in the Spring term.  Provisional dates for the coming year are:

Autumn Term Meeting   –              16th Oct              60 attendees approx.      Field house 29 sansome walk worcester WR1 1NU

Spring Term Conference –             20th Mar              125 attendees approx.    Field house 29 sansome walk worcester WR1 1NU

Summer Term Meeting –               19th Jun                60 attendees approx.      Field house 29 sansome walk worcester WR1 1NU

Additionally we have a fantastic website with many useful areas including a forum which allows members to ask for support and advice on any aspects of school business leadership.

The group is currently chaired by Russell Dalton of the Diocese of Worcester Multi Academy Trust (DoWMAT).
