The London Nautical School is an 11 to 18 Boys’ School situated in the center of London on the Southbank close to world famous theatres and art galleries. The river is close to our hearts and offers us a link to the sea, which gives us our heritage. We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled person who has a strong commitment to professional excellence and is willing to lead and manage staff flexibly. We invite candidates who can demonstrate the ability to operate strategically, communicate effectively and who will share our passion for education. You will need to have experience in leading and motivating teams and a strong understanding of business and finance. The School Business Manager is a member of our Senior Leadership Team and will work closely with the Headmaster.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A strategic thinker
  • Experienced at School Business Management, or highly relevant finance and resources management
  • Highly organised
  • Skilled at managing people and systems (FMS and SIMS)
  • Able to think creatively and problem solve
  • Ability to motivate staff by establishing empathetic and supportive working relationships
  • Ability to monitor and review through self-evaluation, report writing and a clear system of record keeping
  • Ability to work flexibility, innovatively and responsively in a challenging environment
