This post offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious applicant to join a growing and well established Bradford multi-academy Trust as Estates and Health and Safety Manager.  BDAT is a Trust within the Anglican Diocese of Leeds.

With an increasing capital budget due to Trust growth, we are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our busy team and oversee the capital and refurbishment programme. The role includes responsibility for Health and Safety and supporting academies in this critical area of our operation.

Hours of work are flexible to meet the needs of the MAT and schools within the Trust and will not normally exceed 35 hours per week during school term times, although the flexibility to attend evening meetings is essential.

You will work in partnership with the Headteachers, Business Managers and site staff in each of our academies to plan and manage refurbishment and capital projects.  Additionally, you will support the Business Managers in all aspects of the academy properties including upkeep, maintenance, compliance, security and health and safety.


There is a three-month probationary period at the start of employment.


The role is initially a fixed term appointment until 31 August 2020 as the funding stream is currently only guaranteed until April 2020. However, it is anticipated that the funding stream will continue after this date or be replaced by another which would then fund this role.
