Calderstones School is a successful and popular culturally diverse comprehensive school adjacent to Calderstones Park, South Liverpool and housed in a unique blend of modern and listed buildings.   There are 1451 students on roll with 203 in the sixth form.

The Governing Body is searching for an exceptional individual with relevant experience and ambition, gained in either the business world or education institution, to join our vibrant school community as the School Business Manager.

The Business Manager will be a member of the Leadership Team and provide strategic and operational leadership, planning and management of the school business support functions for Finance, Facilities and Health and Safety.

You will have a wide and varied role across the school and work closely with Governors on relevant committees.
 
The successful applicant will be a highly skilled professional and must possess strong business acumen, be enterprising and have a strong track record in financial management.  They will hold a professional qualification, and be a confident leader who can function well as part of a team, have excellent communication skills and be highly organised whilst having the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.  Experience of financial management and working at a strategic level are essential.
 
This is a permanent post working full time hours of 37.5 per week on a term time basis + 10 days during school holidays.  Hours of work are 8.00 – 4.15 Monday to Friday.
