Chief Finance & Operations Officer

Required for September 2019
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000

Are you looking for a rewarding, challenging, new post within Worcestershire and the West Midlands?

We are a successful Catholic Multi Academy Company formed in October 2014, comprising one secondary school and five primaries.  In February 2019 the Board of Directors appointed a Catholic Senior Executive Leader (CEO equivalent) to implement the MAC vision and to work with the Board to achieve our three strategic priorities: expanding the MAC, moving all our schools to Outstanding, maximising capacity and sustaining Catholic post-16 education.

To help achieve our exciting and challenging vision, the MAC now seeks a Chief Finance & Operations Officer (CFOO) who will support the Catholic Senior Executive Leader (CSEL) in addressing the structural, operational and financial challenges of this crucial stage in the MAC’s development.

The CFOO will:

  • be a key member of the executive team and report to the CSEL

  • be responsible for the financial sustainability and development of the MAC

  • provide high-quality leadership and management of the MAC’s finance and business functions to enable the company to run efficiently and effectively

  • lead the promotion and delivery of good financial management so that public money is safeguarded and used appropriately, efficiently and effectively

  • will line manage the central services team

The ideal candidate will have appropriate skills and knowledge along with a commitment to the values and ethos of St Nicholas Owen Catholic Multi Academy Company.
