HEAD OF FINANCE AND ESTATES
Queen Mary’s School is a well-established and thriving girls’ independent boarding and day school with co-educational nursery and pre-prep set in 40 acres of landscaped grounds near Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join the School’s Senior Leadership Team to manage the support, business and commercial aspects of the School with vision and drive to lead the future development of the School’s facilities.
The Head of Finance and Estates will work closely with the Head in establishing the strategic direction of the School and additional sources of income. Able to lead and manage a diverse support staff, oversee the School’s finances, including the provision of bursaries, and maintain strategic and operational oversight of the School’s estate and buildings, human resources and information technology.
The successful candidate will possess a high degree of professionalism, proven leadership ability, together with strategic vision and the capability to think laterally. Financial literacy and sound business acumen are essential. Ability to establish effective and collaborative working relationships at all levels, both within the School and with external agencies.
