The Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust of 15 Primary and one Special School all based in the Epping Forest District. Along with our SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training), Teaching School and Family and Children Support Services, we are a leading educational organisation in Epping Forest. Formed in 2018, we are committed to collaborative working to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children and school communities
We are now seeking to appoint an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will be an energetic and inspiring individual in this new post.  The CFO role will support the CEO at executive level and will be responsible for shaping, implementing and strengthening the organisation’s vision, processes and infrastructure.

The successful post-holder, assisted by the Trust Finance Manager, will be responsible for enabling the Trust to fulfil its financial accountabilities and responsibilities in compliance with the rules and regulations issued by the Education Funding Agency (through the Academies Financial Handbook) and Companies House and the Statement of Recommended Practices (SORP) of the Charities Commission. You will need to demonstrate:
• The ability to identify and secure new funding sources across diverse income streams;
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills across internal and external audiences;
• Executive level experience with an understanding of business functions such as HR, ICT, Risk Management, Property Maintenance, Health and Safety;
• A track record of delivering increased financial performance and hold a recognised financial qualification; and
• Executive leadership skills within an organisation of a similar scale and complexity.

For this exciting role, the successful candidate will be a skilled decision maker who is able to lead and execute a clear strategy for future growth and sustainability.  Your skills will include being able to communicate fluently with different audiences, influencing and informing as required, whilst motivating teamwork, collaboration and productive working relationships. The role will be based centrally; however, travelling between academies within the Trust is required.
