Post Requirements

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding School Business Manager join our school to support the senior leadership team and manage the support staff across the school. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in administration, finance and HR and be able to lead the school in these areas. As well as supporting the school’s senior leadership the post holder will work closely with the central trust team to ensure compliance with our statutory responsibilities. 

 

Background to the School and Trust

St Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox School opened in September 2013 as the first Greek Orthodox secondary school in the country. Our school is part of the academy sponsor, the Russell Education Trust (RET) and was established as a partnership between RET, the Greek Orthodox Church and the Classical Education Trust. RET is a specialist education sponsor and has five secondary schools which work together to share and promote best practice. Our schools benefit from RET’s expert professional development service. There is a particularly strong and supportive relationship between colleagues across the Trust’s finance and operations team of which this post will be a member.

 

Our first two sets of GCSE results (2018 & 2019) were strong, with Progress 8 scores above average. In addition to our exceptional GCSE results, St Andrew the Apostle School was judged as good in all areas our most recent OfSTED Inspection.
