Due to the retirement of the current Trust Accountant, The Painsley Catholic Academy are now looking to appoint their successor. The successful candidate will be required as soon as possible to lead on all aspects of the Trust’s finances including the day-to-day management of the central accounting team. This is an exciting, varied, demanding and challenging role, and is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference to the lives of children by ensuring that every penny of school funding is used effectively. The Trust strives to ensure value for money to ensure all pupils across the 15 schools receive an outstanding education.
Applications are welcome from qualified accountants with CIMA, ACA, ACCA or CIPFA certification (or similar), along with experience of strong leadership, group accounting and leading a finance department. It is essential you are proficient with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel. Experience of working within the education setting, particularly within a Multi-Academy Trust and knowledge in using PS Financials would be desirable but not essential.
The successful applicant, will have a proven track record of providing inspirational, strategic and professional leadership. Strong communication skills are essential, together with a strategic financial drive and vision – and, of course, a level of emotional intelligence to support the individual members of the team.
