The Manor Trust MAT was formed in February 2019. It came into fruition as a natural development of positive relationships built between two neighbouring schools in the local area, one secondary and one primary. We believe that collaboration is the key to a successful education system and recognise each school’s independence. Our ethos and mission statement is thus;

We want to work together to challenge, share best practice and support each other whilst maintaining each school’s own distinctive identity”.
The Trustees of The Manor Trust are seeking to employ an experienced and innovative Chief Financial Officer to work collaboratively across our central finance and executive team. The incumbent will have responsibility for all financial aspects of the Trust, and through delivering operational rigour and strategic direction, the CFO will play an integral role in supporting the growth and development of the Trust in the next phase of our development.
The schools and the trust maintain strong links with the local community and work closely together. Looking ahead the Trust is seeking to ensure that it is able to fully support future expansion while maintaining the quality of provision it currently provides and the appointment of a full time CFO will underpin this. The creation of a single finance function, working closely with senior leaders in the schools and the Finance, Audit and Risk committee as well as the Trust Board will be crucial to the future development of the MAT.
We would welcome applications from those already undertaking this key role which includes a CFO or from those who feel they are ready to take on this role as a new challenge. Applicants should be a qualified accountant or hold / be working towards level 7 post graduate certificate and have an in depth knowledge of statutory requirements, procedures and regulatory requirements relating to Multi Academy Trusts, including but not exhaustively ESFA, Charites Act, Companies Act and DfE requirements[DO1] (Academy Trust Handbook).
Training and support is available and all staff are encouraged to maintain their own professional development when they join us.
