Specialist qualifications often open up new opportunities

Specialist qualifications are increasingly popular in a wide range of industry sectors – not least of all the education sector – because they not only help to provide employees with-specific skills and expertise but can also demonstrate a commitment to training and career development. These qualifications can also give assurance of a school business professionals (SBPs) level of competency to both existing and new employers.

With more and more schools joining to create new multi academy trusts (MATs) or joining existing ones, and the centralisation of support services, SBPs now have the opportunity to progress into specialist roles. These specialist roles often encompass one of the professional disciplines found in the ISBL Professional Standards e.g. Human Resources, Procurement, Finance and Marketing.

We have worked closely with other leading professional bodies to provide SBPs with high quality, specialist qualifications that have been contextualised to meet the needs of SBPs. Through contextualisation of training and assessment resources, we are able to make the learning more relevant.
