Karen Starr, PhD, is Professor Emeritus at Deakin University, Australia.

Her research interests include education leadership, education policy, school business and governance and equity in education. She is author of several key texts, a regular keynote speaker at education conferences and until recently was an international representative on the Board of the Association of School Business Officials International.
