ISBL Professional Standards: Practitioner Level Accreditation
Following the launch of the updated Professional Standards in May 2023, ISBL has developed an accreditation process for ISBL individual members.
Non-member options
Access to full ISBL accreditation and certification against the professional standards is only available to those with individual membership of ISBL (including Foundation, Associate, Full or Fellow membership). Trust, regional and corporate group membership excludes accreditation.
To become an individual member of ISBL, please view our member categories and prices here.
For those colleagues with trust or regional group membership, access to accreditation can be gained by transferring to individual membership. A £50 discount per person can be applied if you upgrade from trust to full individual membership by using the discount code: TR50.
If you wish to purchase accreditation without ISBL membership or have any further queries then please email accreditation@isbl.org.uk.
If you are an ISBL individual member (whether Foundation, Associate, Full or Fellow), then you can apply for formal practitioner level accreditation against the Professional Standards.
Once you have completed your self-assessment, you can then apply to ISBL for formal accreditation against the identified practitioner level. To do this, you will need to provide three pieces of evidence:
1. Self-assessment report that verifies the practitioner level identified and to be claimed
2. An employer declaration form signed by a line manager to confirm their agreement with the practitioner level claimed; and
3. Proof of relevant qualifications to meet the required practitioner level standard, as set out in the ISBL professional standards.
Please be aware that accreditation is only valid and can continue to be used with an active individual membership of ISBL.
