Matt is the Director of Finance & Operations at Exmouth Community College, a large single academy in Devon with over 2,200 students. Having worked in education for nearly 30 years, initially leading educational IT developments in a large secondary school, he embarked on his School Business Leadership career in 2011. Firstly, appointed as Business Manager in a special school and then, in 2015, moving back to secondary education as the Director of Finance & Resources at Honiton Community College Academy Trust.

Matt has also been a governor in both Primary and Secondary phases and is currently a Chair of Governors alongside his role as a Trustee of ISBL. Matt is also Chair of the Devon Association of School Business Managers (DASBM) and the South-West Institute for Teaching, Initial Teacher Training (SWIFT) School Business Manager and Estates Professional Communities.
